Sen. Carson Named to Liberty Harbor Board of Trustees

CONCORD – One of the state’s most innovative independent high schools has named Sen. Sharon Carson, R-Londonderry, to its board of trustees. Liberty Harbor Academy, located in Manchester, made the announcement through its President and Dean

Dr. Julianne Cooper who called Carson, “an extremely valuable resource who will help us navigate state regulations and keep us informed regarding the top policy issues related to education in New Hampshire.”

Carson, a three-term Senate Republican, said she was extremely honored by the invitation to join the school’s board adding, “I care deeply about every child getting an education that works for them and sets them on a path for a great future. Liberty Harbor is innovative and has an approach that produces independent thinkers. I’m particularly impressed by the curriculum that stresses the classics, critical thinking and real world experience.”
